Substance Abuse & Mental Health Examination

Axiom Intervention and Case Management Services (AICMS) can conduct substance abuse and/or mental health examinations if your loved one is in need of a Baker Act or Marchman Act.

 

A Marchman Act is a civil procedure that allows a spouse, legal guardian, or family member who is concerned about a loved one’s substance abuse to petition the court and seek help for an individual suspected of having drug or alcohol impairment that is severe in nature. 

 

If necessary, the Baker Act is a law that makes it possible for healthcare providers or loved ones to provide an emergency psychiatric evaluation, if the loved one is an imminent risk or danger to themselves or others.
